INPEX – Offshore Pipeline Protection
Subsea Rock Dumping FIBC Bag Supply
Metsel Marine & Civil (MMC) supplied 80 custom-designed subsea rock dumping FIBC bags to Bhagwan Marine in support of an offshore pipeline protection scope for INPEX.
Each bulk bag was engineered and manufactured by MMC to safely handle 2-tonne payloads and to perform reliably during remote offshore deployment and controlled subsea dumping. The design accounted for lifting loads, dynamic handling, and release characteristics to ensure accurate placement of rock material over the subsea pipeline.
The bags were purpose-built for marine operations, with reinforced lifting points and construction suitable for subsea use, enabling efficient vessel-based deployment while maintaining safety and reliability throughout the dumping process.
This project demonstrates MMC’s capability to design and manufacture bespoke subsea load-handling solutions, supporting offshore pipeline protection works with practical, deployment-ready equipment tailored to project-specific requirements.
