Offshore Grouting

Offshore structures experience the full extent of the ocean’s power and need a reliable foundation, The majority of offshore structures have piled and grouted foundations. Piles may be pre-installed or driven through tubular legs or skirt sleeves, forming an annular void between the pile and the leg or sleeve. The annular void is filled with a cement-based grout: the grout is usually delivered to the bottom of the structure by a “stinger”, displacing the water as the column of grout rises in the annulus. The purpose of the grout is to provide a connection between the driven pile and the structure, enabling the transfer of loads from the structure to the supporting piles.

EQUIPMENT
Specifically designed and built batching, mixing and pumping equipment to Mix and Pump a range of grouts. A diverse range of equipment to accept 20kg, 1-tonne Bulk Bag or Silo supplied material. Each comes with different forms of mixing to meet manufacturers’ requirements.

DESIGN AND MANUFACTURE
Metsel Maine & Civil can supply skilled operatives to train clients’ staff or to solely operate the equipment to reduce downtime and increase productivity

MATERIALS
Provide technical advice on material to suit project needs. Alternatively can offer the supply of materials in 20kg, Bulk Bag or Silo delivery.

TESTING
Supply of containerised MPA testing Laboratories to provide on-site MPA testing.

DRY HIRE
We have an existing fleet Of batching and grouting equipment to choose from. Our trainer can provide training for clients’ own operators. Our in-house Engineer and Draftsman can design bespoke equipment to suit your needs. Our mechanical team can then fabricate the equipment at our workshop.

WET HIRE
Metsel Marine & Civil understands that experienced operators can be difficult to find. We can provide experienced operators to run the equipment for the duration of your project.
